Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 95 (2013 December)

A now fully mature and gorgeously perfumed nose of white flower, spice and citrus blossom nose is followed by intense, powerful, thick and superbly intense flavors. This is wonderfully textured and between the ripe acidity and incredible intensity, it stains the palate so completely that I could taste this 3 hours later. Like many of the better '99 whites this is quite masculine in style and this does a slow but inexorable build from the mid-palate and the finish delivers impressive detail and delineation. This is a terrific Monty that should last two decades with the proper cellaring. Multiple, and consistent, notes. Note that it's important to keep this at the proper serving temperature because this wine begins to lose its delineation if it's allowed to warm up too much.
